Princess Margarita is twice a descendant of Christian IX as both her parents, ex King Michael and Queen Anne of Romania, both descend from two of Christian IX's children.
The Romanian princess married the Romanian actor Radu Duda in 1996, who was later elevated to Prince of Hohenzollern-Veringen by the Hohenzollern family.
Both Princess Margarita and her husband have set up the Princess Margarita of Romania Trust, through which they work hard to improve the lives of Romanian children and youth and to reconstruct the health and education systems and cultural life in their country.
