Judge Priscilla Owen of the Texas Supreme Court is one of Bush's nominees currently blocked by Senate Democrats.
In one controversial case, she dissented from the Court's opinion which interpreted state law to allow minors to have abortions without parental consent in certain circumstances.
Owen claimed that the minor did not show that she was aware of the religious objections to abortion.

The entire point of the filibuster is due to liberal democrats knowing the only way they can get their agenda moved forward is through activist judges.
Miguel Estrada, Charles Pickering, Priscilla Owen, Carolyn Kuhl and Janice Rogers Brown have been victims of this filibuster and would all easily be approved on the Senate floor.
Maybe the biggest loser of all is the American people who now have to deal with longer waits dealing with courts due to judge vacancies.
