  Priscoan Eon - MSN Encarta
Priscoan Eon, earliest eon of geological time, and the earliest of the three divisions of the Precambrian—the other two being the Archaean Eon and the Proterozoic Eon.
For this reason, the term is very seldom used by Earth scientists—most incorporate this early interval of geological history within the Archaean, sometimes using the term Hadean to refer to the Priscoan part of the Archaean, that is, the interval between the formation of the Earth and 4,000 million years ago.
Evidence of this bombardment has been obliterated by subsequent events in the Earth’s history, but a record of it remains on the surface of the Moon (the Priscoan Eon of Earth history is roughly equivalent to the Pre-Nectarian Period of Moon history).
