Pritilata had participated in 'activities subversive to the state' since the period of studies in Eden College, where she became a member of Sree Sangha under the banner Dipali Sangha led by Lila Nag.
Pritilata believed that the time had come for women to take a leading role in the armed struggle against the British, sacrifice their lives if necessary, and confront all risks, dangers and tribulations, on the same footing as their male comrades.
In one assignment in 1930, Pritilata was sent to Alipur Central Jail of Calcutta to meet Ram Krishna, who was a political prisoner sentenced to death and put behind the bars under strict observation in complete seclusion.

On September 24, 1932, Pritilata with a few other activists attacked the European Institute at Pahartali, which was bustling with the European community of Chittagong.
Pritilata, on her escape route chose to take her life by swallowing cyanide though she was clearly out of the range of the pursuing police, leaving behind an example of how women could give up their lives for the independence movement.

A police and military force under Captain Cameron surrounded the house on 13 June 1932.
Cameron was shot dead while ascending the staircase and Surya Sen along with Pritilata Waddedar and Kalpana Dutta escaped to safety.
Ultimately a villager revealed the hiding place of Surya Sen at Gahira village in Chittagong and in the early hours of 17 February 1933, a Gurkha contingent surrounded the hideout and a soldier seized Surya Sen while he was trying to break the cordon.

Surya Sen, along with other activists, raided the Chittagong armoury on 18 April 1930 to capture arms and ammunition and to destroy government communication system to establish a local governance.
Pritilata Waddedar led an attack on European club in Chittagong in 1932, while Bina Das attempted to assassinate Stanley Jackson, the Governor of Bengal inside the convocation hall of Calcutta University.
Following the Chittagong armoury raid case, Surya Sen was hanged and several other were deported for life to the Cellular Jail in Andaman.

I remember reading somewhere that there was another young woman fighting hand in hand with Shurjo (Suryo in Kolkata Bangla?) Sen – her name was Konkona or might be Kolpona.

She secured first position in I.A. among the women in Eden College in 1929 who received the scholarship during the time of British and attacked the European Club as the co fighter of Master Da Surjosen to make the revenge against the hate the British did against the Indian or Bengali.
And on 23rd September 1932 when she was just returning from the attack, a British solder hide inside a tube, shot her and consequently she was injured.
In the same way the Pritilata’s understanding was not to take Cyanide, rather to understand to make free the Indian women from the exploitations and to save the co-fighters.

Pritilata Waddedar was an anti-British pro-India revolutionary in East Bengal, (then part of Province of Bengal in pre-independence India), now in Bangladesh.
Born in Chittagong in 1911, she was a meritorious student at the Dr. Khastagir Government Girls' School of Chittagong and passed the matriculation examination in the first division in 1927.

On September 23, 1932, Masterda assigned the woman revolutionary Pritilata Waddedar to lead an attack on the Pahartali European Club of Chittagong, which used to display the hateful sign ‘Dogs and Indians not allowed’.
The raid was successful but Pritilata could not escape.
She preferred death by swallowing a cyanide pill rather than being captured by the colonial occupiers of the land, thus immortalising herself as one of the greatest freedom fighters of all times.
