Prodrive - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Prodrive is an auto racing and automotive engineering group based in Banbury, United Kingdom.
Prodrive was founded in 1984 by Ian Parry and David Richards, who is now the chairman of the group.
Prodrive's statement in the planning application for the facility - which could house as many as 1,000 staff - boasted of "a motorsport complex which could eventually house a new British Formula One team," further cementing Richards' intention to return to F1 but only when the costs are reduced considerably, as he conceded before.

It is interesting that ProDrive publicly states that they do not adhere to the recommendations of the Gates Rubber Company, the manufacturer of the Toothbelt used in their main rotor drive system.
We speculate that one of the reasons for the high fretting and failure rate in ProDrive-equipped secondaries is the fact that, when tensioned according to ProDrive's instructions, the belt is operating in an undertensioned condition, and the self-tensioning thereby generated puts an even greater load on the shaft than we showed here.

Sources at Prodrive are keeping tight-lipped about Subaru’s involvement, but an early viewing of the coupé project by the Japanese company’s bosses seems more than likely.
