	Profane Existence - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Profane Existence (Mostly referred to by those who know of it as 'P.E.') is an anarcho-syndicalist collective, known mostly for the zine it publishes four times a year; and Profane Existence Records, a label that deals mostly with Anarcho-Punk, and Crust Punk.
		Profane Existence began in December 1989, and is part of the North American anarcho-punk movement.
		Many critics have suggested that Profane Existence is the last "true" punk rock label.

		It could be safely argued that during the 90s, Profane Existence did more than any other magazine to keep the anarcho-punk movement going, which in turn helped the anarchist movement develop into the bigger, more popular movement that it is in the early 21st century.

		In contrast, an existence embodying or pointing to the sacred is the dialectical opposite of existence in the profane.
		When the profane is understood as the opposite of the sacred in a wholly negative sense, then the movement of religion must be conceived as an eternal repetition of an unfallen sacred, and the profane reality must be judged to be an illusory mask or veil of the sacred.

		The three-prong vocal attack is lead by Dan, whose former bands included Pissed, Destroy and Catalyst A (and is also coeditor and founder of Profane Existence Magazine and Records) and André of Civil Disobedience.
		Over the winter they visited Melvin Ray Studio, the same studio responsible for many classic Profane Existence Records recordings, to rerecord five of the six songs for an EP release.
		They are currently preparing new songs for another upcoming release on Profane Existence and unleash new songs with each live set.

		Five new tracks from the the snottiest DIY punk band in Minneapolis, whose message screams to be proud to be different, proud to Queer and be proud of non-conformist.
		However good this record is, topped off with excellent political lyrics and a sharp-looking gatefold sleeve, it's limied to only 519 copies and is sure to be impossible to find in just a short while.

		We had about half of the material recorded when Ray was still alive for this other label and that went to shit.
		About a year or so later Profane Existence came into some money, Dan asked us to come in and finish the recording so he could put out our record, which was cool because we didn't have the money to put it out.
		We did a little demo recording for a single to come out on Profane Existence, but the label decided to quit releasing records.
