		Three distinct operations are performed by prog and prog*: they bind local variables, they permit use of the return statement, and they permit use of the go statement.
		prog implicitly establishes a block named nil around the entire prog form, so that return can be used at any time to exit from the prog form.
		The difference between prog* and prog is that in prog* the binding and initialization of the vars is done sequentially, so that the init-form for each one can use the values of previous ones.

		An expression which appers as an argument to a CONS must be expanded in light of the fact that it is to be evaluated.
		Variables are normally called by their own names, unless the same variable is bound twice in the function, in which case the second occurrence is sytematically renamed and the old and new names entered as a dotted pair on this list.
		This is part of a mechanism which attempts to optomise the code at the beginning of a PROG by not pushing NILS on the stack for variables which are set before they are referenced and before any branching occurs.

		I won't take up your time trying to explain all the various nuances of 'The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking' but in a sense, don't try to think of this album as a mixed-up nightmare but rather a dream of a middle-aged man going through a mid-life crisis.
		Still, you gotta admire Waters' bravery with "The Pros And Cons Of Hitchhiking." At the very least, it's an interesting album with an intriguing concept (and a nice cover, too---I gotta be honest!), but I think Roger could've made "Hitchhiking" a whole lot better with some much-needed musical and lyrical polishing.

		This is an essencial album for fans of his later work with PINK FLOYD, although some may find it a bit boring and overly personal (it's based on a dream he had, and touches on almost all of his typical themes in his lyrics).
		None of these are particularlily accessible, so it couldn't hurt to just go from the beginning and start with "The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking" if interested in his work, though you can't go wrong with "Amused To Death" either (that is, if you agree with his strong political views).

		My real-world experience working on Cons informed many of the design decisions in SCons, including the improved parallel build support, making Builder objects easily definable by users, and separating the build engine from the wrapping interface.
