	Progressive Conservative Association of Nova Scotia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The Progressive Conservative Association of Nova Scotia, more commonly known as the Nova Scotia PC Party, is a moderate right-of-centre political party in Nova Scotia, Canada.
		Canadian confederation was initially unpopular in Nova Scotia, and the party was out of government for most of the late 19th century.
		Stanfield took over the party in 1946 when it had no seats in the provincial legislature, and by 1956 had built it into an organization that was able to sweep to power.

		He was first elected to the Nova Scotia legislature in 1967.
		He became leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Nova Scotia in 1971 and became Premier of Nova Scotia in 1978.
