		From 1997 to 1999, the band King Crimson 'fraKctalised' into four sub-groups known as ProjeKcts, one of which was ProjeKct Four.
		ProjeKct Four - consisting of Robert Fripp (guitar), Trey Gunn (warr guitar, talker), Tony Levin (bass, stick) and Pat Mastelotto (drums) - embarked on a short tour performing new improvised material and expanding on ideas from previous ProjeKcts.

		La música que los ProjeKcts sirvieron fue frecuentemente más violenta y nerviosa de lo habitual en el grupo, con un claro componente electrónico que expande los registros sonoros habituales de guitarras y bajos eléctricos, utilizando de manera impresionista distorsiones creadoras de atmósferas, con sonido cibernético o sencillamente reminiscentes de pianos o xilófonos.

		With the release of the box of ProjeKcts we have savored nº 1, an amazing starter, nº 2, a juicy first dish, nº 3, a smooth main course, and now 4.
		ProjeKcts Three and Four show, as the two first, that technology also implies an experiment: the MIDI that allows to make soundscapes, the "talker" used by Trey Gunn, the motley system of electronic percussion of Pat Mastelotto, the two Whammy pedals of Fripp.
		If somebody has perceived that the four projects point toward a clear, defined and foreseeable objective, he can warn us, but I believe that if he says so, he could appear to be a bully.

	Ground and Sky review - King Crimson - The ProjeKcts
		The ProjeKct One disc is probably the closest to standard jazz fusion, mostly due to the acoustic drums (all the other sets feature electronic drums and samples).
		The source material for it came mainly from live improv performances, but then the music was edited with bits and pieces moved here and there to "make a better flow and cover a few, but not all, brown spots" (according to the liner notes).
		Disc four probably has the thickest booklet, including technical details and a lengthy section of road notes from the band's merchandise man.

		This is the single disk compilation showcasing each of the different 'projeKcts' from the 4-disk boxed set and serves both as a good introduction and as a good album in its own right.
		ProjeKct 1 should please those Crimson fans who were disappointed with 'Thrakattak' and is Bill Bruford's last Crimson outing.
		The ProjeKct 2 stuff is much better than on their 'Space Groove' studio album, although the electronic drums still sound a bit flat and 'plastic'.

	Music to THRAK by...
		ProjeKct X is what is currently being described by Robert Fripp as the "other" side of King Crimson.
		Of the four ProjeKcts, only ProjeKct Two has had a 'studio' release of material on CD called "Space Groove", though Robert Fripp's record company, Discipline Global Mobile (DGM), has prepared live recordings from the various ProjeKcts for release.
		Four CDs have been released of live material from ProjeKct One, ProjeKct Two, ProjeKct Three and ProjeKct Four - only available individually through import from a Japanese label, Pony Canyon, that King Crimson is affiliated with.

		A pesar de que este directo del ProjeKct Four se alimenta de tres trabajos en desarrollo del segundo proyecto (Heavy ConstruKction, Light ConstruKction y The Deception Of The Thrush), ya testados generosamente en vivo, la formación Fripp, Gunn, Levin, Mastelotto fracasa en entregar buenas versiones de todas ellas.
