		Prokuplje -- The government has decided to spend close to two million euros for the projects in the municipality of Prokuplje.
		Prokuplje municipality expects to receive further 5,5 million euros from the National Investment Plan (NIP), in order to build a sanitary city dump, solving the problem of garbage disposal, currently the underdeveloped municipality’s number one communal problem.
		The Prokuplje Building projects coordinator Goran Mrdaković says 170,455 euros will be spent on the finalization of reconstruction works for the Secondary school’s boarding facility.

	Guardian \| Unrest spreads through Serbia's streets
		Leaders of the Alliance for Change claimed that failure to challenge their first rally in a government-run town, Prokuplje, added momentum to their campaign to dislodge the Yugoslav president.
		Prokuplje, a market town, was the third rally organised by the alliance, whose strategy is to create enough momentum over the summer to stage protests in the capital Belgrade.
		Before speaking at Prokuplje, Zoran Djindjic, one of the alliance leaders, travelled to the Gracanica monastery in Kosovo, an area with several Serb villages, to ask the head of the Serb Orthodox Church, Patriach Pavle, to support the campaign to oust the president.

		PROKUPLJE, Yugoslavia (AP) _ A former Yugoslav army soldier went on trial Tuesday on charges of killing two Kosovo Albanians in 1999 in the first war crimes case to be tried in a Yugoslav court.
		Ivan Nikolic was charged at the Prokuplje court in connection with the killing of two ethnic Albanian civilians on May 24, 1999, in a village located between the northern Kosovo town of Podujevo and the capital Pristina.
		A prosecutor in Prokuplje has brought war crimes charges against two civilians for the murder of 19 ethnic Albanians in Kosovo in March 1999, at the outbreak of NATO bombing.

		This donation was agreed upon during the recent visit of a Serbian delegation to Germany.
		The Prokuplje health centre conducts 5,000 dialysis treatments a year on eight machines, half of which are more than 10 years old.

		According to the testimony submitted by Miroslav Mitrovic, head of the Prokuplje prison Aleksandar Đordevic told him that two men in plain clothes came to collect the Bytyqi brothers, driving a white car with no license plates.

		June 20 (IIS, Danas) - Monthly turnover of Prokuplje based confectionary firm Hissar reaches 25 million dinars (€385,000) but its operating costs amount on 45 million dinars (€692,000) per month, says Hissar’s director Zoran Markovic.
		Serbian Government is willing to help Hissar and will approve 500 tons sugar use from state reserves.

		On April 22, the Prokuplje district court indicted two former Novi Sad policemen, Sasa Cvjetan and Dejan Demirovic, on charges of murdering 19 Albanian civilians in Podujevo, Kosovo on March 28, 1999.
		Former Prokuplje court president Branislav Niketic had blocked the investigation, which began in 1999.
		The war crimes indictments against Cvjetan and Demirovic are so far the only ones in Serbia to cover Serbian actions in Kosovo, even though the Prokuplje court has jurisdiction for the Podujevo region in Kosovo where several hundred people disappeared or were killed during 1998 and 1999.
