		In Book 5, Promethea brought on the Apocalypse, the end of the world - or the entire ABC universe, to be precise - not by destroying it physically, but by tenderly introducing its inhabitants to a new world of imagination, wonder, beauty, belief, and acceptance.
		Promethea is a young girl whose father is killed by a Christian mob in Alexandria in 411 AD.
		All of Promethea's avatars live on forever in the Immateria, retaining their memories and contributing to the consciousness of the active Promethea.

		She learns from previous incarnations of Promethea about the history of her as well as the plane of imagination called the Immateria, a kind of imaginary plane adjacent to the material, “real” world.
		While the early superheroics fit in with the overall story, once Promethea has travelled into other planes and Moore has regaled us with his views, the superheroics that follow-up her journey and intertwine with the apocalypse at the end seem a needless gesture towards the story’s beginning.

	The Comics Get Serious--Review of Promethea
		In the hospital, Barbara is rejecting the "clone-meat" implants and is dying.
		The secondary and tertiary characters, including Stacia, the other Prometheas that we met, and the two demons whom Sophie-Promethea battles at the rock concert, are quite appealing; however, I found Sophie and Sophie-Promethea too bland (why, oh why are main characters in SF/fantasy so bland most of the time?).
		As it stands, Promethea is just another piece of "commonplace" exotica when she should stand out in sharp contrast not only to the world at large but also to the creatures she faces.
