An Exegesis of Promethean Myth by N. Lygeros and J.D. Martinez
In the Greek language one of the etymological meanings of the name Prometheus is 'prometheia' or 'prnoia', which literally means pre-vision and is translated into English as 'forethought'.
Prometheus is the one who reflects beforehand and he is sometimes referred to as the maker of mankind and a god of fire.
As far as humanity is concerned, 'prometheia' is just one aspect of our complete ignorance of the future.

The bottom line is that the Prometheia and 3500+ are close to the price of the FX-55 alone.
BTW the SLI sys that I detailed in the other thread as it stands I spent $2398.44, this doesn't include a new monitor, its a lot of money, but considering my last system was the Pentium II 300mhz from 1997 its not bad.
If I bought G.Skill memory http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=20-231-006anddepa=0 and the Prometheia about ($1200 for both) and I got a 50% increase in performance then the cost benefit would be good, but only if the ocing is linear.
