	Prometheus (comics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Prometheus was the son of two criminals who travelled across the United States with him in tow committing indiscriminate murders and thefts, often of a brutal nature (similar perhaps to Bonnie and Clyde).
		Prometheus was defeated when the anti-hero Catwoman showed up unexpectedly, buying Steel time to beat the virus (Although it was only thanks to the lucky arrival of Plastic Man that Steel's hammer failed to do any damage to the Watchtower walls) and, in turn, override Prometheus' helmet.
		Prometheus later formed a partnership with Hush, but was abandoned for his complicity in the murder of Poison Ivy.

		With his computer-boosted fighting skills and reflexes, and the ability to exploit his opponent's weaknesses, Prometheus is nearly a match for the JLA on his own.
		Prometheus' introduction to the DCU at large (he first appeared in a one-shot in which he simply recanted his origin) was the first time in Grant Morrison's JLA that Batman was shown as even slightly fallible.
		This Prometheus was made from a Batman and Robin figure with generous ammounts of artist's clay (another figure I made at school) for the armor.

	Prometheus III
		Prometheus disrupted the Watchtower’s oxygen supply and defeated Steel, Zauriel, Huntress and Batman, mainly because he had plans and weapons to deal with virtually every hero on Earth.
		Unbeknownst to Prometheus Catwoman was inside the Watchtower, and although she was armed with only a whip Prometheus was not prepared to fight a fellow villain and she was able to take him down.
		A statue of Prometheus was shown in the JLA Watchtower trophy room in Flash II #209.

		The obvious choice for Prometheus was my friend and frequent model Pawel Pagan-Piskorsky, since he has a classically proportioned body that fits the heroic ideal of the subject perfectly.
		Instead of the traditional action of Prometheus struggling while chained, I wanted a Prometheus that was in a dream like state, almost reminiscent of Bernini's ECSTASY OF SAINT THERESA, or many of the pictorial representations of St. Sebastian.

	The Unofficial Prometheus Biography
		Overview: If we are to believe Prometheus' own story of his origin, he was the son of a "Bonnie & Clyde"-like couple of parents, travelling with them on a crime spree through America until they were killed by the police.
		As Prometheus, he infiltrated the JLA Watchtower and took out most of the team before being defeated by their wild card - Catwoman and her primitive bull-whip.
		Prometheus was taken into custody, but soon escaped and became Hush's henchman before being stolen away by Talia and the villainous Society.

		Batman still gets to fall back on Alfred, and Hush relies mainly on Prometheus, who he recruited in Star City during “Pushback.” Lieberman has said in interviews that Prometheus was originally supposed to be some other character, who became unavailable at the last moment due to editorial decree.
		A character dying in one title and being reintroduced in another title on the same week with no explanation is something that really shouldn’t be happening.
		The two-part finale to Lieberman’s run, “Payback,” features the return of the Joker to his old form, and an ending that is possibly one of the best executed cliffhangers in the history of the medium.

		Meanwhile, the other Birds of Prey are hot on the trail of Prometheus and the Crime Doctor which he kidnapped last issue.
		Gail Simone is starting to make this character transcend whatever shallow existence she had before giving her a unique voice in the comic book world and a reason for being Lady Shiva’s main foil.
