		It is important however because it does tell you the gear train in the engine has the proper backlash and the thrust bearing is allowing the crankshaft to float properly.
		When you are checking the blades, etc., your body should be squarely in front of the propellor, so, that if any blades start moving, all you do is yank your hands back and you're okay.
		The method my CFII reccomends does not cause the propellor to be twisted in it's direction of motion, rather he has me gently twist the blade with one finger to ensure that the prop will not change it's pitch with such a small force as one finger (you don't want a floppy prop).
