According to the present invention, a coated article is provided which comprises a metal substrate and an overlying layer of a composition comprising a copolymer of 3,3,3-trifluoro-2-trifluoromethyl propene and vinylidene fluoride and an effective amount of a stabilizing agent.
The copolymers may be prepared by copolymerizing 3,3,3-trifluoro-2-trifluoromethyl propene and vinylidene fluoride monomers by contacting the monomers in a suitable liquid polymerization medium in the presence of a free radical generating polymerization initiator.

IngentaConnect Polycrystalline-Silicon LPCVD by Propene-Assisted Silane Pyrolysi...
Also addressed are the variation in process pattern with the longitudinal coordinate, the change in effective reaction order in propene when passing from 640 to 700°C, and the dependence of consumed silane percentage on the ratio of the total area of the wafers and the walls to the volume of the reaction zone.
These relationships are explained within a model whereby the pyrolysis proceeds by a free-radical chain mechanism and basically follows a heterogeneous route at lower temperatures and a homogeneous route as well as a heterogeneous one at higher temperatures.
It is found that polycrystalline-silicon films deposited in the presence of propene have a much lower conductivity and exhibit a much lower dissolution rate in a KOH etchant.

electrophilic addition - unsymmetrical alkenes and bromine
An unsymmetrical alkene is one like propene in which the groups or atoms attached to either end of the carbon-carbon double bond are different.
For example, in propene there are a hydrogen and a methyl group at one end, but two hydrogen atoms at the other end of the double bond.
The bromine is a very "polarisable" molecule and the approaching pi bond in the propene induces a dipole in the bromine molecule.

Low-Temperature Kinetics of Reactions of the OH Radical with Propene and 1-Butene Studied by a Pulsed Laval Nozzle Apparatus Combined with Laser-Induced Fluorescence
The kinetics of the reactions of the OH radical with propene and 1-butene are studied at T = 103 K. The low-temperature environment is provided by a pulsed Laval nozzle supersonic expansion of nitrogen with admixed radical precursor and reactant gases.
The gas number density and temperature distributions in the flow are characterized by both dynamic pressure measurements and laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) spectroscopy of OH radicals excited in the (1,0) band of the A
