The dark templar is a powerful addition to the protoss army.
If you keep the Dark templar moving against a terran opponent they will not know where to expect the dark templar next, and will not be able to comsat till you have already attacked their forces.
Another thing this causes is when you do allot of damage with a group of dark templar make sure to lay hard into your opponent to kick them while their down.

If gas is plentiful and a lot of Templars can be created, consider creating some Archons out of Templars that have used up their energy with Psionic Storms or Hallucination.
Attacks from the Red Protoss base will include Arbiters which will place groups of Dragoons, etc. in stasis, so you will need a large force along the edge of the plateau in order to defend the new base.
