	NZDF - NZ PRT: New Zealand Provincial Reconstruction Team Nine
		NZDF personnel are in Afghanistan's Bamyan province, leading one of the Provincial Reconstruction Teams (PRTs) established in that country.
		PRTs were established in 2002 to help the transitional government under President Hamid Karzai extend its influence beyond Kabul.
		The PRT has helped support security in Afghanistan by assisting with the formation and training of the Afghan National Army and the Afghan National Police Force, as well as supporting the role of the United Nations in Afghanistan and the International Security Assistance Force.

	Provincial reconstruction team
		A provincial reconstruction team (PRT) is a group of forty to eighty civilians and military specialists who perform small reconstruction projects or provide security for others involved in aid work.
		A PRT includes a military component, aid agencies, civilian contractors and sometimes police agencies.
		There are currently ten PRTs in Afghan cities, Herat, Bamiyan, Kunduz, Faizabad, Mazar-i-Sharif, Gardez, Parwan, Jalalabad and Asadabad.

	New Zealand Troops Help Clean Up Diesel Spill - DefendAmerica News Article
		U.S. Defense Department personnel and soldiers from the New Zealand Provincial Reconstruction Team examine the scene of the crashed tanker in the bed of the Bamian River, Afghanistan.
		The provincial reconstruction team quickly dispatched its quick reaction force to the scene of the accident, but they were unable to right the tanker or significantly reduce the flow of diesel escaping into the river.
		A second team of New Zealand soldiers was dispatched to the site, and together with the Americans, they were able to reduce the potential damage by applying detergent to a large pool of diesel that had still not found its way into the river.

	Kandahar Provincial Reconstruction Team
		A soldier from Force Protection Company, part of the Kandahar Provincial Reconstruction Team (KPRT), is standing on guard behind an RG-31 Nyala in the village of Nakodak, near Kandahar.
