Most Psalms are prefixed with introductory words (which are frequently different in the Masoretic and Septuagint traditions, or missing in one while present in the other) ascribing them to a particular author or saying something, often in fairly cryptic language, about the circumstances of their composition; only 73 of these introductions claim David as author.

Psalm 151 < Deuterocanon or the Deuterocanonical Books - Old Testament - Holy Bible < Saint Takla Haymanot ...
To the traditional Hebrew Psalter, the Septuagint (LXX) adds Psalm one hundred and fifty one, with a superscript describing it as "outside the number" (i.e., of the 150 Psalms); this is the basis of the NRSV translation.
It is found in the fourth-century CE Greek Codex Sinaiticus with a different superscription and in the sixth-century Codex Alexandrius (with a superscription, "The 151 Psalms of David").
Ps 151B is the fragmentary beginning of another psalm, also with a superscription, that must have followed Ps 151A in the original scroll; it apparently deals with David's contest with Goliath (1 Sam 17), a story that is also the subject of LXX Ps 151.6-7.

 USCCB - NAB - Psalm 119
[Psalm 119] This psalm, the longest by far in the psalter, praises God for giving such splendid laws and instruction for people to live by.
The author glorifies and thanks God for the Torah, prays for protection from sinners enraged by others' fidelity to the law, laments the cost of obedience, delights in the law's consolations, begs for wisdom to understand the precepts, and asks for the rewards of keeping them.
Several expected elements do not appear in the psalm: Mount Sinai with its story of God's revelation and gift to Israel of instruction and commandments, the temple and other institutions related to revelation and laws (frequent in other psalms).

Alexander, Corrie "Psalm 151"   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-20)
One day, as I was listening to the Psalm being read in church (I'm Episcopalian), it occurred to me that many of the psalms that can be classified as "lament psalms", or petitions to God, involve calls for relief from some immediate, often life-threatening, danger or enemy.
While this may be a reality for many people in certain countries or in certain areas of our own country even, I do not feel it's as relevant to me, a "typical" young American in today's society.
So my project is the writing of a new psalm, "Psalm 151," in a brief attempt to address the types of worries that plague me as an average college student.
