In January this year, Rautaruukki OYJ - Metform, Finland successfully commissioned a stand for a 16" tube welding line supplied by SMS Meer after a short standstill period at its Pulkkila works.
The squeeze stand allows a separate changing of the top rolls without the tube strand having to be cut.
SMS Meer had already supplied and commissioned a sizing mill for the same plant in Pulkkila in a similarly short standstill time in 1996.
The first unit to start offensive warfare, was Sandels' 5th Brigade that went south east, into Savolax in the direction of Kuopio.
These areas were almost empty of Russian troops and after winning a skirmish against a Russian unit under Obuhov at Pulkkila on May 2, Sandels retook Kuopio.
He then continued with his 1,400 men all the way to the Russian border.
