Pulkovo Aviation Enterprise is an airline based in St Petersburg, Russia.
The history of Pulkovo, named after the area where it is located along with the village of Pulkovo and famous Pulkovo Observatory (founded in 1839), began 24 June 1932 with the landing of two aircraft from Moscow at the newly-constructed Shosseynaya Airport south of Leningrad.
On August 22, 2006, Pulkovo Airlines Flight 612, a Tu-154 airliner with 160 passengers and 10 crew on board en route from Anapa to St.

Pulkovo is nominated Best Russian Airport and wins the Wings of Russia airlines contest in "Regular Domestic Carrier of the Year" nomination.
The contest, organized in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Russian Civil Aviation, was conceived by Federal Aviation Department of Russia and CIS Airports association that unites 139 airports in 13 republics of the ex-USSR (except Lithuania and Estonia).
The spokespersons for Federal Aviation Department announced that the main goal of the contest is to motivate 845 Russian airports to upgrade the quality of their services.

As for Pulkovo [FV], they are a good airline with in-flight service that would typically exceed that of most Western-European airlines, most of which are cutting corners these days.
I flew on Pulkovo from ZRH to LED and back last June...the White Nights were great.
Exactly the same meal was served as breakfast on the return flight, where it didn't seem at all appropriate.
