Punahou School, formerly Oahu College, is a private, co-educational, non-sectarian college preparatory school located in Honolulu in the state of Hawaii.
Founded in 1841 as Oahu College, Punahou School was originally a school for the children of Congregationalist missionaries serving throughout the Pacific region.
Punahou is seen by its alumni as ranking among the most respected private educational academies in Hawaii, and, because of its graduates' recognized achievements in both academics and extra-curricular activities, can be considered one of the top schools, public or private, in the United States.

Our Punahou Class of 1959 memorial grove is located on the 3 mile nature trail through the 3,692 acre nature preserve where it can be appreciated by all who walk through the area.
Members of the Punahou Class of 1959 have also volunteered time and resources towards construction of four native plant nurseries in Kunia and Palehua where the native plants will be grown from seedlings and nurtured for the 2-3 years it takes to create plants of sufficient size for successful outplanting.
