The Sinyx Punk Band from Southend
Following the records release, the band embarked upon a period of solid gigging, but all was not well in the Sinyx camp, and in late 1980, a reshuffle of the band personnel occurred.
The band was starting to seriously gel and potent new material such as 'David's Star', 'Charles Manson/g' and 'Kiss of Death' was being developed.
The band did continue on with other members until 1985, but essentially this marked the death-knell of the band and the end of The Sinyx.

  Punk rock
Punk rock (from 'punk', meaning rotten, worthless) was originally used to describe the primitive guitar based rock and roll of '60s bands such as The Seeds[?], and later Detroit bands The Stooges and MC5.
The roots of punk rock lie in the earlier form of "punk", as well as the UK pub rock scene, glam rock groups such as The New York Dolls and the early driving forces of the avant garde new wave music, such as Patti Smith.
Also of importance was a desire to return to the simplicity of early rock and roll and a rejection of what punk rockers saw as the pretension, commercialism and pomposity which had overtaken "arena rock" in the 1970s, spawning the grandiose forms of heavy metal and progressive rock.

Punk ideology is explicitly at odds with mainstream society and rails against contemporary civilization, which is seen as sterile and banal.

Some of the bands stuck close to the Pistols' original blueprint, but many found their own sound, whether it was the edgy pop of the Buzzcocks, the anthemic, reggae-informed rock of the Clash, or the arty experiments of Wire and Joy Division.
Other bands, such as the Stooges and the New York Dolls, came before them and set the stage and aesthetic for punk, and bands that immediately followed, such as the Sex Pistols, made the latent violence of the music more explicit, but the Ramones crystallized the musical ideals of the genre.
Originally, the band was a trio consisting of Joey Ramone (vocals, drums; born Jeffrey Hyman, May 19, 1951), Johnny Ramone (guitar; born John Cummings, Oct. 8, 1951), and Dee Dee Ramone (bass; born Douglas Colvin, Sept. 18, 1952), with Tommy Ramone (born Tom Erdelyi, Jan. 29, 1952) acting as the group's manager.

 Comparing Punk Recordings
It is extremely difficult to compare a punk band to a country artist, and I would not even attempt to judge records based on a system that included such a wide spectrum of music.
Since a great deal of punk music is derivative, that is, that many bands’ sound is based directly on the music created by a previous band or small, scene of groups before them, the time in which the band formed and made records is extremely important.
The time period when the band formed, was active, and produced records is, therefore, extremely important when rating a punk record, and is most likely, the first thing I consider when rating a punk record.

One of its most enduring novelties, "(It's Gonna Be a) Punk Rock Christmas," is the linchpin of this collection of 18 snot-nosed holiday classics, some of which originated in the original punk rock explosion of the late 70s but others are of later vintage.
Another punk rock Christmas record, this British EP from 1981 features four songs by four different bands, two of which are pop Christmas covers and the other two holiday chestnuts.
Still another Christmas punk tune from 1983 by a British band, with a nod to "punks and skins (skinheads) everywhere," keeping in mind that Brit skinheads of the 80s were not quite as sinister as American skinheads of the 90s.

The band, understandably upset, chose not to try to re-create the stolen album (Armstrong feared that it would take their fan base "back to about 50"), but instead started over with a vow to be even better than before.
In addition, they underwent serious "band therapy," engaging in several long talks to work out the members' differences after accusations from Dirnt and Cool that Armstrong was "the band's Nazi"[1] and a show-off bent on taking the limelight from the other band members.

Punk bands often emulate the bare musical structures and arrangements of 1960s garage rock bands.

Black Flag was a hardcore punk band formed in 1976 in southern California, largely as the brainchild of Greg Ginn, the guitarist, primary songwriter and sole continuous member through multiple personnel changes.
Along with being among the earliest punk rock groups to incorporate elements of heavy metal (particularly in their later records), there were often overt jazz (mainly free jazz) and contemporary classical elements in their sound, especially in Ginn's guitar playing, and the band interspersed records and performances with instrumentals throughout their career.
