		Purda is an Islamic term that has come into common usage in Arabic, though it is not an Arabic word, it is in fact a Persian one.
		Purda means curtain, and it is a metaphor for the seclusion of women.
		One aspect of purda is the wearing of the burqa, the veil, by women and girls, though in some places, especially in large Muslim communities in western nations such as France or the USA, this is growing less and less common.
