  Golf putter - Patent 6776724
The only difference between putter 10 and a conventional regular length putter is that in conventional putters, the upper or butt end of shaft 12 will be enclosed within the grip 18 by the upper end of the grip 18 while in putter 10, the open upper end 20 of the shaft 12 is exposed.
The numeral 22 refers to the auxiliary or "add-on" assembly of this invention which enables the putter 10 to be used as a "mid-length" (belly) putter having a length of approximately 38 to 45 inches or a "long" putter having a length of approximately 46 to 52 inches.
As previously stated, the putter 10 is a conventional regular length putter with the only difference between putter 10 and the conventional regular length putter is that the upper end of the grip 18 has been cut away to expose the open upper end 20 of the shaft 12.

Smith lived on a typical tree-lined and driveway-filled suburban street with his wife, the actress and opera singer Jane Lawrence Smith (she debuted in the Salzburg production of Mozart's Idomeneo and in more recent years has appeared in a variety of avant-garde theater productions in New York, where she moved after her husband's death).
Smith was born in 1918 into a prominent and close-knit Essex County clan of seven children, one girl and six boys.
According to Smith, "It was a dark night and there were no lights or shoulder markers, lines, railings or anything at all except the dark pavement moving through the landscape of the flats, rimmed by hills in the distance, but punctuated by stacks, towers, fumes and colored lights.

Smith describes himself as “not a bad putter, but not a good putter either.” Always looking for ways to improve, he came across a unique putter, the hammY, at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, FL.
The putter is gripped with your hands apart-like the way you would hold a hockey stick.
When addressing a ball squarely using a conventional putter, it is only the left eye the ‘sees’ the hole, while the 45 degree stance required for the hammY lets both eyes view the hole.

In any case, Kreibich and Smith allow Hammack, who is really in the lead, to form beautiful melodic passages within the tunes' elegant harmonic structures, thoughtfully adding, as she moves through them, to the sublime character of each.
Lonesome Tree is a must listening for all who are drawn to superiorly crafted and thought-provoking compositions which have the attraction of possessing a winsome combination of beguiling melodies, well-reasoned harmonies, attentive improvisations, all motivated in their own rhythmic way.
