Quarterly Review of Literature Poetry Series
Founders and still the publishers of QRL are Theodore Weiss, the poet, and his wife, Renee, who produce the journal from Princeton, N.J. They have kept it vibrant for a half-century without outside aid-- a miraculous record considering the mayfly existence of most literary publications.
QRL is also noted for its translations; a whole issue was devoted to Kafka, before he was widely known here, and, not long ago, the influential work of Wislawa Szymborska, the modern Polish poet.
QRL's success in uncovering such a diverse range of significant new talent stems partly from a well-developed editorial taste and partly from a conscious effort by the editors to overcome the limits of their own taste.

Quarterly Review of Literature Poetry Series
QRL's dazzling roster of writers is a tribute to their unerring eye for talent and their pursuit of excellence.
The volume is a unique re-collection that combines past, not remembered, but at-the-moment, with the almost at-the-moment present; a story of youth and love, of finding oneself, and of preparing for a very uncertain future, captured in those early letters, and, in a sense, transformed and re-harvested in the poems the editors wrote together recently.
A Biography of QRL closes the final chapter of this unusual work and makes a kind of poetic ending to QRL's six decades of literary achievement.
