On the downside Quakenet is very strict and that would defeat the purpose of what Bentest is for.
I voted Gamesurge, because the rules state that the owners of the channel are responsible for creating the rules for that channel, whereas a few of the others (quakenet included) seem to be rulewhores.
I've been connected to their since I was Nookie and it's been fine with me. Netspltis happen about once or twice a week and last for about 4 seconds, so no worries there.

Quakenet decided that #deerman or men or whatever "i cliked the link" was a warez distribuation center.
They banned from what i can tell anyone that was a OP or a +V. I didnt get banned as i had been idle for atleast a hour.
My guess would be valve had quakenet shut down the IRC chat and would think this fourm would be their next target seeing as we are doing the same thing here as was being done in a open chat.

Connect to quakenet, and type this in the server console (not in any channel):
In the email you recieve from Quakenet, you will see a line of text with your username and a randomly generated password.
In order to AUTH with Quakenet at this point, all you have to do is copy that line of text and paste it into the quaknet server console.

Naturally, QuakeNet did tried to contact the ISP in question in order to try and resolve abusive issues, but the ISP lacked cooperation in handling the abuse reports.
I went to Quakenet, there was no mass disappearance of t-dialin.net users.
To be honest, when you emailed me asking for comments I hadn't actually realised that we (as in QuakeNet) had made such a post.

Daniel "Ferg" Ferguson, said Quakenet banned a Half Life channel on its IRC network which displayed beta pictures of the up-and-coming game.

This is a fairly sophisticated (compared to others) "qauth" script.
It keeps your eggdrop authed to Q on Quakenet, retrieves the bots auth' chanlevs from Q & L and requests op/invite/unban himself.
Ideally, the only thing you'll need to do is set Username + Password and load the script, then (re)start the bot.

Here is a log of my error and basicaly a duplicate of the email i sent to quakenet.
That will probably solve the problem - if it does, you can revert to your old settings one by one, and see what caused it.
I have just tried to logon to quakenet again and seems i have still experiencing the same problem.

 Quakenet IRC Network to close! - Neowin.net
Due to a pending lawsuit against QuakeNet by a german internet company (We cannot name this company due to legal reasons) providing bnc's and shells to it's customers, QuakeNet staff has been forced to choose between closing down the network or suspend all of it's active staff pending the outcome of the lawsuit.
Unless the lawsuit falls out in QuakeNet's favour, the servers will be running until O goes down itself.
Some of the staffmembers have chosen to stay to keep the most important services up and running, link servers after netsplits etc, but the lawsuit prevents these staff members from participating in discussion of any kind with our users and will also leave the network in a very near future.

We're doing all we can to get the vhost on Quakenet and Gamesurge working, however, it's not as easy as some might think.
We used to have an s:line on Quakenet which allowed us to use our custom host.
If you have your Quakenet account filled in, please use /msg CS-Gather-DE auth, the bots name may change depending in wich channel you are but the gather bots will always end in 2 letters, the country like -DE -US -UK (Germany, USA, United Kingdom)
