 How can we make the most of the WTC site & other public commemorative spaces?
There are the various Judaeo/Christian Peace Fellowships, which have been crammed into an old building on Lafayette St. for decades, there's the Quakers' AFSC, there are Buddhist and other pacifist groups that could use the physical space and the visability such a site would offer.
What he described was a "hallowed ground" where not only the families but all (the citizens of the world) could come (physically or in spirit) and heal.
The best solution for ground zero is to rebuild the twin towers with the floors hit by the planes devoted to a memorial and a museum.

Harvard quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick '05 takes in some much-needed rest - and instruction - during Saturday¹s tense fourth quarter against visiting Penn. The Crimson nearly pulled out a huge upset over the No. 8 Quakers, but came up six yards short of a potential tying touchdown just as time expired.
The Quakers continued to pile it on in the second quarter, building a 22-point lead following a 7-yard touchdown reception and two-point conversion.
After a rusty first quarter, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick '05 (17 of 34 passes for 250 yards) showed signs of life in the second, directing a 65-yard scoring drive, capped by a handoff to Clifton Dawson who crossed the goal line unscathed on a 2-yard run to cut the lead to 22-6.

 A470 road - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
At Quakers Yard roundabout, the A470 is joined by the A4059 from Abercynon, Aberdare and Hirwaun&;; the A472 from Ystrad Mynach and Pontypool finally the A4054 from Quakers Yard, and Merthyr Tydfil.
The A470 then carries on to the Cefn Coed Roundabout North of Merthyr where the road meets the A465 and the dual carriageway ends.
The road is mountainous in parts, particularly over the Brecon Beacons, south of Dolgellau and over the Crimea Pass.

 The Merthyr Tydfil branch operated by Cardiff Railway Company
At Tramroad in Merthyr Tydfil and alongside the fire station in Abercynon are monuments commemorating the event; while between Edwardsville (near Quakers Yard) and Mount Pleasant (near Merthyr Vale) it is possible to walk part of the original route which, in places, still has some of the stone rail chairs in situ (pictured left).
The Merthyr Tydfil Branch runs through the upper Taff Valley, and is the oldest line in South Wales, opened by the Taff Vale Railway in 1841.
Rhydycar Sports Centre at Merthyr offers indoor leisure facilities, while all of the stations on the route give access to the Taff Trail which runs from Cardiff to Brecon (the section pictured right is near Aberfan).
