Quanta Plus features a general debug plugin system but currently only one plugin is available which adds support to use the Gubed PHP Debugger.

I think that Quanta is currently analysing the document first and then starts the parsing.
This would be a major change in the architecture of Quanta and I think having this in a pre-release would alow some people to test it before we push it in Quanta 4.

BUT...(there had to be a but at the end of that)...its beginning to feel like no matter what is posted to the dot, quanta is always 'on topic', and that reading the dot is always accompanied with petitions for money for quanta development.
But I don't think Quanta is/was "on topic" in every dot posting, although it was in many of them, but in those case it mostly made sense (was mentioned in the news, by a comment or related comments were made).
Quanta is competitive with Dreamweaver for many uses now and we have many converts.

I'm currently using Quanta Plus which appears much more mature than Bluefish but suffered from various ailments on my Mandrake 8.0 setup (although this could well have been my lack of understanding).
Quanta 3.0 is soon to be released for KDE3.0 and will be the editor to beat judging by the new features.
Not only is the GUI and tools somewhat lacking compared to Quanta, the inserted tags from the tools are all in capitals, a seemingly minor point perhaps but one that would have to be fixed if you are producing XHTML work which is case sensitive.

I, like you, have searched for a way to run Quanta Plus on Windows; outside of Cygwin + KDE (which has really been a bear to keep running reliably for me; it tends to hang a lot), I haven't found a way yet.

Posted - 6/19/2004 2:10:37 PM Quanta+ is a KDE app, so supposedly all the settings are kept in your homedir in the.kde subdirectory.
(The reason that reinstalling Quanta gave no result is because the configuration files that are user-specific reside in your home directory and are not touched by package tools and installers.)

On initial startup Quanta Plus looks pretty bloated and the first thing I did was close a lot of small windows and remove some - for me - unnecessary toolbars.
