		Electrochemistry is a branch of chemistry and studies the reactions that can take place at the interface of an electronic conductor (the electrode, which can be a metal or a semiconductor including graphite) and an ionic conductor (the electrolyte).
		Like in many physical chemistry topics, electrochemistry uses tables, the most used (in electrochemical cells) is the standard reduction potentials table, which is determined in a modified version of galvanic cell using an Hydrogen electrode as cathode, because Hydrogen is taken as reference, standard reduction potential for that substance is zero (gray highlight).
		In the 1960s–1970s quantum electrochemistry was developed by Revaz Dogonadze and his pupils.
