Systems theory - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Systems theory or systemics is an interdisciplinary field which studies relationships of systems as a whole.
Modern systems theory was founded by Ludwig von Bertalanffy, William Ross Ashby and others between the 1940s and the 1970s on principles from philosophy, physics, biology and engineering and later grew into numerous fields including philosophy, sociology, organizational theory, management, psychotherapy (within family systems therapy) and economics among others.
A system is composed of regularly interacting or interdependent groups of activities/parts that form the emergent whole.

 21st Link-Enformy Theory
Because systems are the objects of all scientific studies, systemics is the foundation of all scientific disciplines.
TES is an ontological theory of systems that applies at all levels of complexity, ranging from the prephysical through the physical to the biological.
Popper (1980) described the empirical sciences as a system of testable theories, where a theory is a universal statement; hence, the sciences are a system of statements.

 Talk:Systems theory - Wikipedia
systems theory, as I think that "systemics" is not the most commonly used term for this field in English (systemics is a more Continental European term).
The phrase systemics is far more widely interpreted (at least in the English-speaking world), as referring to systems theory as developed by Bertalanffy, Ashby and others.

Experimental implementation of phenomena such as quantum teleportation, entanglement swapping or quantum cloning, and, obviously, experimental implementation of quantum key distribution have led to a massive exploration of this field by scientists from varied disciplines.

Sokal's paper parodied the post-modernist language of some contributions to that publication and prompted a vigorous debate about the intellectual respectability of 'cultural studies'.

Here my aim is to carry these deep analyses one step farther, by taking account of recent developments in quantum gravity: the emerging branch of physics in which Heisenberg's quantum mechanics and Einstein's general relativity are at once synthesized and superseded.
In quantum gravity, as we shall see, the space-time manifold ceases to exist as an objective physical reality; geometry becomes relational and contextual; and the foundational conceptual categories of prior science -- among them, existence itself -- become problematized and relativized.
This prank's achievement appears to have been merely to abuse a system based more or less on trust.
