The MONTOUR Line - Queen Esther and Queen Catherine
She was a tall, but not very fleshy woman--not as dark as the usual Indian in complexion--had the features of a white woman--cheek bones not high, hair fl, but soft and fine like a white woman, not the heavy fl hair of the squaw.
It is very apparent from the various narratives that Queen Esther, or Easter, as she was often called, in her whole life and character showed the half-breed to an unusual extent; first, seemingly influenced by the white blood, and then by the red, presenting a most interesting psychological problem to the thoughtful mind.
She became Queen after the chief's death, and at the time of Sullivan's march, in 1779, was living with her tribe in the Chemung Valley, near Montour Falls, N.Y., evacuated before the oncoming of the troops and fled with her tribe to western N.Y. and Canada.

 The Queen Aliquippa Legend
Queen Allaquippa (Aliquippa), for whom the town of Aliquippa, in Beaver County, is named, and near which she is said to have at one time lived, is generally spoken of as a Seneca, though some authorities say that it is probable that she was a Mohawk.
By many authorities Queen Allaquippa is said to have been the mother of Canachquasy, the account of whom is given later in this chapter, and that she and her husband visited William Penn at New Castle, Delaware, shortly before he sailed for England the last time, in the autumn of 1701.
As has been seen in Chapter XIV, Queen Allaquippa was at the Great Meadows during Washington's campaign in the summer of 1754, and no doubt witnessed the conferring of the name of Colonel Fairfax upon Canachquasy by Washington at that place on the 10th day of June.

The Nimzo-Indian/Queen’s Indian complex has an important place in the repertoires of all the finest players in the world, past and present.
Recently (2002), Jacob Aagaard’s QUEEN’S INDIAN DEFENCE appeared (click to see Silman’s and Donaldson’s reviews of that book), but trying to squeeze the theory of such a huge system into just 144 pages is a hopeless task.
But the authors of THE QUEEN’S INDIAN went out of their way to carefully cull extraneous material (Otherwise they could easily end up with a 1000 page tome!) and even add their own analysis and/or assessments when they deemed it necessary.

Thus, the Indian defenses were born, called so because it was the pieces that sought to control the center instead of the then less mobile pawns.
The Queen’s Indian Defense is no exception, led by the early fianchetto of the Queen’s bishop, fearlessly fixing its sights on the most common hideout of the White king before the king even gets there.
In addition, the Queen’s Indian is not normally a player’s only defense to d4 because it is not aggressive enough if White plays Nc3 before Nf3.
