Queries select records from one or more tables in a database so they can be viewed, analyzed, and sorted on a common datasheet.
Types of queries are select queries that extract data from tables based on specified values, find duplicate queries that display records with duplicate values for one or more of the specified fields, and find unmatched queries display records from one table that do not have corresponding values in a second table.
Add fields from the tables to the new query by double-clicking the field name in the table boxes or selecting the field from the Field: and Table: drop-down menus on the query form.

Queries are printed in the Newsletter as space permits, and are free to VGS members.

 Queries
Similarly the responses to queries are one-time transmissions that also do not have a message identifier, so that they too are not acknowledged.
Queries addressed to individual stations are in APRS message format (except that they never include a message identifier).
The addressee is the callsign of the station being queried.

 Data Warehouse - About Queries
A query with a record selection condition using an indexed data element tells the system to go directly to the rows in the table that contain the value indicated and to stop retrieving data when the value is no longer found.
If a query does not select records based on an indexed data element in its record selection condition, the system starts searching at the first row in the table and works through every row until it reaches the last row in the table.
You can easily compose a "bad query." That is, you may have selected incompatible data elements, the wrong data elements, or structured the conditions in your query such that it returns improper results.

 Dr. Dobb's | Native Queries for Persistent Objects | December 15, 2005
It should be possible to translate a native query to a persistence architecture's query language or API for performance optimization.
If the optimizer cannot handle some or all code in a query expression, there is always the fallback to instantiate the actual objects and to run the query expression code, or part of it, with real objects after the query has returned intermediate values.
Querying and sorting could be optimized to be executed as one step on the database server, using the sorting functionality of the database engine.

 Remote Queries In Microsoft Access
If you were to hide the remote queries behind a form or module and turned the database into a MDE file, your front end database will distribute with no queries or linked tables.
Once that is done, I look through the SQL of all the queries in the current database and modify the remote database path to the new location of the database.
If remote queries is not your cup of tea, I recommend that you take a look at the ReplaceQuery and SysTables functions that I have included in the sample databases as they are good universal pieces of code that I have used in a number of applications.

The stored query must have a schema configured (and, optionally, a namespace and root element node) before you can create a data view from it.
The definition for the stored query is deleted, but the stored query file remains in the repository.

This is perhaps the easiest way to pose a query because the menus guide you, but it is also the least flexible.
Query by example (QBE): In this method, the system presents a blank record and lets you specify the fields and values that define the query.
Query language: Many database systems require you to make requests for information in the form of a stylized query that must be written in a special query language.

PYM - Faith and Practice - Queries
Friends approach queries as a guide to self-examination, using them not as an outward set of rules, but as a framework within which we assess our convictions and examine, clarify, and consider prayerfully the direction of our lives and the life of the community.
The earliest General Queries of London Yearly Meeting asked for specific facts and figures: which Friends imprisoned for their testimonies had died, which present prisoners there were, and what sufferings.
While changes in specific focus and language are inevitable over time, the queries have been marked by consistency of convictions and concerns within Friends testimonies—simplicity, peace, integrity, stewardship, equality and community—as well as by strength derived from worship, ministry, and social conscience.
