With this in mind Questacon has developed a number of world-class exhibitions and programmes that travel across Australia.
The Tenix Questacon Maths Squad aims to broaden students’ views of maths in the world in an entertaining way but with a substantial message about the importance of maths.

 Museums and the Web 2004 : Papers : Crane, Burarra Gathering
Later in the year Questacon's parent Government Department was looking to fund a study that directly compared the learning outcomes between the physical and on-line versions of a single exhibition.
Questacon's then-director Dr Annie Ghisalberti had had an interest in on-line learning outcomes, so she volunteered Questacon for the study, and committed to develop an on-line version of the new Burarra Gathering exhibition.
It's exciting to know that Questacon will be putting this new knowledge and expertise to use in the near future, with a new project that will again allow some Indigenous communities to tell their own stories on the Web.

Questacon is a sort of science museum, but not a museum where you just look at things.
At Questacon you play games and look at things like mirror mazes and a machine that takes photos of you.
It has a screen at the back, and when the camera flash goes of it leaves your shadow behind on the screen which then gradually fades till it's replaced by the next flash.

 Burarra Gathering at Questacon
It is also a gallery exhibition that opened at Questacon in February 2002.
The gallery exhibition presents some of the same traditional knowledge and technologies used today by the Burarra ('bur-ah-da') people of the central north Arnhem Land region of Australia.

The Shell Questacon Science Circus is a quality national touring program from Questacon - The National Science and Technology Centre in Canberra taking wonderful demonstration-style shows to schools and a hands-on science exhibition to regional towns.
