Quiggins is a collection of some 40 small alternative stores in Liverpool, England.
Quiggins has always been considered a part of Liverpool's cultural scene, with the building seen as an ideal place to trade and congregate in.
As part of Liverpool's Capital of Culture bid, the local city council devised the Bluecoat Triangle development to boost the cultural area of the city centre as part of ongoing improvements.

QUIGGINS owner Peter Tierney yesterday told a public inquiry it would be "suicidal" for him to move his business away from his current premises in Liverpool city centre.

Ironically, the first act on for the evening's entertainment, The Light Fantastic, are quite acoustically driven.
Ethagi, a band whose name I may have still spelt incorrectly, only knowing it through it being written on a toilet door (beside 'ROCK') certainly stand out from the acts on offer today.
  It would be harsh to rip into them too much-they were the only band who were booked through Quiggin's and not Joe Keelan and as such, the somewhat nepotistic acoustic/indie scene of Liverpool meant they'd have to do a lot to impress me, particularly given their pseudo-metal stylings...However.

Come and behold him in the warm intimacy of Quiggins, and then absolutely deffinately get your arses down to the Zanzibar at the M*A*S*H night to hear him through their excellent sound rig, with hopefully Andy (deffinately the best sound tech.guy in L'pool) doing his knob twiddling wizardry on Mark's tunes.
Oh right, lol.....yeah, you guys were excellent last time you played Quiggins, thats why you were asked back again so soon.

The walls are stroon with memorabilia and a raised section has full length shutter windows.
Unfortunately the Quiggins building is subject to compulsory purchase order to make way for the massive Grovesnor shopping development but it is safe until next year.
