		One of the bluest of the quinacridones (along with quinacridone violet, PV19), the pigment was first offered by Winsor & Newton; other companies were quick to add it to their lines, the most recent being Holbein and Daler-Rowney.
		Winsor & Newton quinacridone magenta is one of the better paints sampled here, with a very fine pigment texture, a chroma just under 60 and a distinct blue bias to the color that shifts toward violet in tints.
		The main alternatives are quinacridone rose (PV19), a redder color that produces slightly less saturated violets and more saturated warm mixtures; and quinacridone violet (PV19), whose dark but saturated tones produce some lustrous dusky violets and very interesting browns and maroons with other warm colors.

		D.S. Alizarin Crimson (chemical), Quinacridone Magenta, Thalo Blue PR15:1, it would be nice to have PB15:6 as a Thalo Ultramarine Blue but I can't find it as a dry pigment yet.

		Quinacridone Magenta stayed the same and is a better color for fresco.

		After first lightly drawing in pastel pencil a wash of Yellow Ochre was applied to all but the area of the sky.While this wash was still wet, various mixtures of Burnt Sienna, Quinacridone Gold and Ultramarine were introduced where the bushes would appear.
		Warmer Grey was then used to pick out some of the fence palings, stairs and various details on the front of the house.

	New tube of Quinacridone Orange dried out paint
		I just received a tube of Grumbacher Pre-Tested Quinacridone Orange (Quinacridone Gold) along with a tube of Grumbacher Pre-Tested Perylene Maroon that I ordered.
		However, when I opened the Quinacridone Orange I noticed that the cap was on very loosely and to my dismay the paint was dried out in the top of the tube.
		The number on the crimp is very hard to read but I believe it is 1195.
