Quorn is the headquarters of the Pichi Richi Railway, a tourist railway.
Quorn is the home of the Flinder Ranges Council local government area.

The Pichi Richi Pass is part of the Flinders Ranges between Quorn and Woolshed Flat at the head of the Pichi Richi Pass.
With the construction of a new line to Alice Springs from Tarcoola in the early 1980's rail traffic through Quorn diminished and the Pichi Richi group assumed the task of preserving the town's railway history and its reputation as Australia's busiest railway town of the 1940's ferrying coal from Leigh Creek to the north.
Quorn has many historic buidings and the 4 main hotels and the courthouse are all classified by the National Trust.

Chances are, like me, you won't be lingering in Quorn but more likely passing through and spending a night there.
Quorn itself is not the most exciting place, well its in the far north Flinders Rangers, but its a good place to stay if your'e are exploring the Flinders or coming down or up the state.
One night in the quiet,secluded and picturesqe town of Quorn was a good time for relaxation after travelling for a bit.

Here in Quorn, Hawker and Cradock along with the surrounding districts you will discover many historical buildings, much flora and fauna, wonderful tourist attractions, fabulous photographic scenery, beautiful walking trails, old ruins and lookouts with views you will never forget.
They are also well known for being the only horse riding club in Australia to hold an annual steam train and trail ride combined event.
On behalf of Quorn and the ratepayers of this council area I wish to say thank you to The Flinders Ranges Council for having provided hosting for five years from 1998 to 2003 for some of the above sites along with other temporary sites used for specific functions.

Since then she has held exhibitions at the Barry Newton Gallery in Adelaide from 1990 to 1996 and one in Quorn during 1992.
Of later years she has relied on sales through her own gallery in Quorn and has sold some of her work internationally.
