RAK music publishing now has the copyrights to such classic popular songs as "You Sexy Thing" composed by Hot Chocolate singer Errol Brown and "I Love Rock N Roll" written by the band The Arrows, both acts were produced by Most.
RAK was eventually sold to EMI Records in 1983 but revived in 1988.
Most was one of the first producers to own the rights to his own records and his RAK Studios, opened in 1976 in St John's Wood, remains active.

Initially this involved selling records in supermarkets and petrol stations, placing his discs in strategically placed racks (he would name his company RAK).
In the early 1970s, RAK Records scored consistent UK hits with the likes of The Sweet, Smokey, Mud and Suzi Quatro, while working with the songwriting/production team Chinn and Chapman.
Most sold RAK to EMI in the late-1980s and continued to make money - he was the first producer in the UK to own the rights to his own records.

The Guardian Unlimited's Paul Foot speculates, "Most probably he came into contact with asbestos in recording studios soundproofed with vinyl tiles impregnated with asbestos." Despite prolonged efforts to remove asbestos from commercial and residential buildings, it is still widespread.
He was said to be responsible for more number one recordings than anyone else in the field.

The Arrows recorded two songs as possible singles for their next release, the titles were "Broken Down Heart" and "I Love Rock N Roll." The band went into Morgan Studios in London in early '75 and recorded both songs.
Joan Jett, on tour in England with her band The Runaways, was watching The Arrows perform "I Love Rock N Roll" on television that day, and she was deeply moved by the band's performance of the song.
The third version was recorded at Strawberry Studios in Manchester for the Arrows Granada TV series in 1976, and was produced by the band.
