The RMS Britannia was an ocean liner of the British Cunard Steamship Lines.
Launched in 1840, the ship and its sisters, Acadia, Caledonia, and Columbia, were the first four Cunard ocean liners.
The Britannia was a small ship, about 230 feet long, and was relatively fast for the time at 8.5 knots.

In 2004 the "QE2's" service was limited to world cruises and her transatlantic route was taken over by the new liner RMS Queen Mary 2, the first ocean liner to be built in 30 years and the largest passenger liner ever built.
