		The Pure Championship is a title contested for in the North Americian independent professional wrestling promotion Ring Of Honor.
		There are no closed-fist punches to the face allowed in a Pure match, only open-handed slaps or chops to the face are allowed.
		Renamed the ROH Pure Championship after AJ Styles was stripped of the Pure Wrestling Title due to being unable to wrestle for ROH as he became a Total Nonstop Action Wrestling exclusive wrestler.

		The ROH Pure Wrestling championship, which is ROH's secondary title (even if ROH officials won't call it that) is having a hard time being accepted by the fans.
		Another outside reason, which is purely speculation based on facts by several wrestlers that I talked to, why ROH took the Pure Title off of Jay Lethal last night, is due to Jay Lethal being unable to make ROH's 6/4 Buffalo event.
		While ROH and JAPW are not at war with each other, I do see some of the logic behind that argument.

		Another factor may be that, after learning that the latest ROH show in Elizabeth, NJ drew an estimated 1,800 fans, TNA sees them as a direct competitor instead of just a small independent company.

		The show started right on time as always with ROH and they announced the first match would be the #2 seed against the Mystery #7 seed in the Pure Wrestling Tournament
		The armory was packed and the crowd was real good, as I said before Styles and Low-Ki were incredibly over and no one could touch C.M. Punk on the amount of heel heat received.
		ROH returns to Braintree on Saturday, May 15th.

		Samoa Joe retained his ROH World Heavyweight Title, in a 25 minute match defeating Low Ki, Dan Maff and BJ Whitmer, when he defeated BJ Whitmer via chokeout submission.
		The crowd was reported to have understood the basic stipulations of the Pure Wrestling Division to a surpising degree (20 countout rule, no closed fists allowed, 3 rope breaks allowed).
		To underline the significance of the division's rules, Styles scored the pinfall with Punk's leg on the ropes, but since he had used all his rope breaks, the pinfall stood.

		The final match of the Punk/Raven ROH feud was suppose to be a hair vs hair steel cage match but was changed because TNA had plans and eventually did have Shane Douglas shave Raven's head so the match was changed to a hardcore cage match.
		TNA is trying to show its dominance that they are the #2 promotion in US Pro Wrestling which is understandable but the way they are going through with it is just undermining in my opinion.
