Research on vehicle turns may improve traffic flow through intersections - Spring 2000 - The Sensor - ITS Institute
However, the recursive QML (RQML) outperformed the recursive NLS (RNLS) with tighter bounds, indicating that RQML is the more efficient algorithm.
The RQML posed a greater challenge, with two likely solutions: one was to assign appropriate covariance terms to the random walk model for RQML with covariance modification to track the parameter changes.
The RQML algorithm seemed able to reasonably track the mean of the actual turning proportions, but with a tendency to overestimate the low turning proportion.

With the many implementations of Fusebox and the number of different FLiP tools on different platforms I feel there is a need for some standardization to allow us to collaborate on projects using our favorite tools.
