RRJ–Officially unveiled during last year’s Domodedovo Civil Aviation Exhibition, the RRJ appears closer than ever to attracting the seeds of financial support needed to reach certification, one of the government’s prerequisites for its own subsidy grant.
Convinced of the program’s commercial support, Russia’s Rosaviacosmos state aerospace agency in March awarded the proposed Russian Regional Jet $46.6 million in research funding, a development expected to prompt RRJ partners Sukhoi, Boeing, Ilyushin and Yakovlev to announce a commercial launch of the project this summer.

FLC Director Yevgeny Zaritsky said the company intends to propose airplanes of the RRJ type under the conditions of financial and operational leasing.
