  USATF'S RACE WALKING RULE 150
Race Walking is a progression of steps so taken that the walker makes contact with the ground so that no visible (to the human eye) loss of contact occurs.
In a race held on a track, no competitor is allowed to receive assistance or refreshment from any person during the progress of the race unless specified by the Games Committee in charge of the event.
Race Walking events shall be so arranged as to ensure that the entire event is held in daylight or with suitable artifical light.
