Also known as RaW, or RaW 1251AM, Radio Warwick is the student radio station at the University of Warwick (http://www.warwick.ac.uk).
The station was then known as URW, University Radio Warwick, and broadcast on induction loop around halls from a small hut behind one of the halls of residence.
This caused problems as the power was so high that radios continued to play URW even when switched off, and submarine communications in the North Sea were affected.

In radio, I was the Breakfast Crew Coordinator at RaW Radio Warwick for 1999-2000 and now spend too much of my time as a general purpose hack mainly producing and presenting random shows.
RaW even won Best Student Radio Station 2000 at the Student Radio Awards - a fantastic night that certainly won't be forgotten for a long time yet, since we also picked up the Best Show Award for the RaW Dance Selector and Best Female Presenter for Catherine Nicholson.
