Radola Gajda (born Rudolf Geidl, February 14, 1892, Kotor, in Montenegro – April 15, 1948, Prague) was a Czech military commander and politician.
In 1931 Gajda was shortly imprisoned and stripped of all military ranks due to an older affair.
During communist era (1948-1989) Gajda, being legionnaire and fascist, was ignored by official historiography and practically unknown by public in Czechoslovakia.

Yo met and developed a friendship with Col. Radola Gajda (his original name was Rudolf Gajdl) of the Czech Legion.
The Czech weapons were superior to the weapons used by the Japanese and made it possible for Gen. Hong Bom-do and other Korean military leaders to defeat the Japanese army in a series of battles.
Upon returning to the free Czechoslovakia, Col. Gajda was promoted to a general of the Czech army.

Rudolf Gajda, the boldest and most successful of the legionnaire commanders, went so far as to become a co-founder of a Czech fascist movement.
Politically, Gajda proved himself such a dilettante that even Nazi Germany refused to take him seriously after its seizure of the Czech lands in March 1939.(5) Ferdinand Catlos, a Slovak legionnaire, chose to support the separate Slovak state which emerged at that time.
Gajda was sentenced to 90 days in jail for libelling a public official, and was dismissed from the army.

Gdy wkrótce po dokonanym przez niego zamachu stanu na Hrad doszły informacje (jak się później okazało, fałszywe), iż Gajda rozmawiał ze Stríbrnym o puczu, Masaryk postanowił nie czekać i uprzedził cios – na razie na polu propagandowym.
Po trwającym kilka miesięcy śledztwie w grudniu 1926 roku Gajda stanął przed komisją karną Ministerstwa Obrony, która uznając go za winnego szpiegostwa i planowania puczu, skazała go na degradację i utratę jednej czwartej uposażenia.
Jeżeli wierzyć późniejszym wypowiedziom Benesa, dyskretne załatwienie sprawy uniemożliwił sam Gajda.
