Fatal Fury (餓狼伝説: Garou Densetsu, meaning "Legend of the Hungry Wolf", in Japan) is a fighting game (fighting game: more facts about this subject) series developed by SNK (SNK: snk is a japanese video game company....
Later Fatal Fury games experimented with various other gimmicks, such as "ring-outs", where a character loses the round if the character is thrown into the edges of the fighting backdrop, and single-plane backdrops, where the element of dodging is eliminated altogether, and moves that sent opponents to the opposite plane instead did collateral damage.
Fatal Fury and its two sister series, Art of Fighting (Art of Fighting: more facts about this subject) and The King of Fighters (The King of Fighters: more facts about this subject) often influenced each other in different ways.

Fatal Fury: Legend of the Hungry Wolf VHS
SNK's Fatal Fury series of videogames have always been aimed at a more specialist market than it's greatest rival, Capcom's Street Fighter series, and this is reflected perfectly in this adaptation of the very first Fatal Fury game.
For a film that relies on martial arts as it's theme, Fatal Fury falls flat on it's face with a severe lack of hand-to-hand combat and fights that barely last a minute.

FATAL FURY Tips Story line: Geese Howard has hired a couple of thugs to do his dirty work while he is scheming up some nasty plans.
RAIDEN (the Circus Big Man/Wrestler) Raiden is particularly bad; he'll belly flop on you, his foot sweeps are long and hard hitting, if you jump in he'll head butt you.
If you're Andy, the Acrobatic Aerial Foot Dive must be carefully timed when Raiden is not breathing flame, and does a lot of damage; the Shadow Elbow Slice is much more useful as you can just run Raiden over (as any other character) when he gets up.
