Rain (song) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Rain" is the title of a 1966 song done by The Beatles.
The song is one of the few Beatles songs that hasn't been covered much, but in 1972 Randy California did a cover on his album Kapt.
This is simply the first verse of the song with the word "Rain" sung in front of it (which one would hear after it when backwards).

1: Rain-The Beatles: This song, which was released as the B-side of Paperback Writer in 1966, is a John Lennon song that features jangling guitar chords and some distortion that works together to create a rainy day feel.
The song has a spare acoustic guitar backing which makes it sound almost like a folk standard instead of a song that was written in 1964.
Phil Lesh composed this song from the American Beauty album in response to the terminal cancer that his father was suffering from.

The stand out song was "Tender Rain" which contained references to her favourite group, the Beatles.
While she scored another top ten hit with "No", Nami continued writing songs and produced an EP titled "Via Air Mail" in which all songs were composed by her.
Nami continued to have a modest string of top forty singles while developing her song writing talents and releasing the entirely self-penned albums "Everytime I Look at You" and "I Love You/You Do" which contained her last single "Motto, Zutto, I Love You".

After the albums 1999 and Purple Rain, Prince was already multi-selling superstar and he could basically do what he wanted, he went one step further again and released a album that is pop-psychedelic with songs simular to Beatles "Sgt. Pepper" but with more pop.
"America" is funky as hell (Especially it's riff), the song itself critisise political America and it's fight to destroy communism in the 80's instead of taking care of it's own citizen.
Prince's "Around The World In A Day" is less a nod to psychedelia than it is another of his great 80s pop records, teeming with those explosive drum beats, synths and subtle funk grooves.

Ringo as a drummer don't do much these days as he did on the Beatles recordings (Rain, She Said She Said, early BBC's) but songs like Honey Don't and I wanna Be Your Man, sound killer.
He may be "only Ringo," but he's still a former Beatle and that gives Ringo Starr the right to do pretty much whatever he wants, which in this case means traveling the world with some of his favorite musicians, playing their hits and his.
Ringo's voice is best described as refreshingly ordinary, inviting the listener to join in whenever he sings.

Rain is also a short story by William Somerset Maugham and a song by The Beatles.
Rain plays a major role in the hydrologic cycle in which moisture from the oceans evaporates, condenses into clouds, precipitates back to earth, and eventually returns to the ocean via streams and rivers to repeat the cycle again.
In the Western world, rain traditionally has a sad and negative connotation, in contrast to the bright and happy sun.

Taylor hasn't spoken publicly about the identity of or the nature of his relationship with the 'Suzanne' referred to in the first verse of the song.
Taylor's audience collectively developed an autobiographical story line for his "Fire and Rain" lyrics: Suzanne, the girl who was now "gone," had been Taylor's girlfriend.

Power Line: Best of PL: Accentuate the positive
Among the 1,500 songs to which Mercer wrote the lyrics are "One For My Baby (And One More For the Road)," "P.S. I Love You" (not the Beatles song), "Come Rain or Come Shine," "Blues In the Night," "Moon River" and "Satin Doll." He was an utterly brilliant lyricist.
Driving along the freeway from Newport Beach to Hollywood and back in 1955, Mercer heard the song on his car radio, called the station and asked the deejay to play the song again, memorized the melody, and wrote the lyrics in his head as he drove.
The Globe headline states that it is Dean's rivals who now seek to "accentuate the positive." It should be noted that "accentuate the positive" is a phrase made famous by lyricist Johnny Mercer, and tomorrow is his birthday.

When he joined, Liam suggested the band's name be changed from "The Rain" (which was the name of a Beatles song) to "Oasis"; a name which he apparently saw on an Inspiral Carpets poster in Noel's bedroom.
Liam became the band's song writer, along with Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs (who was the also band's guitarist).
Though the other members of the band took this role lightly, Liam appears to have really taken it to heart, often verbally abusing photographers and members of the public in his Mancunian accent, with his trademark arrogant swagger.

I have (in order of preference) Ram, Wings over America (the fifth album I ever owned, after getting four Beatles records to start), Wingspan, Flowers in the Dirt, Flaming Pie, McCartney, Unplugged, Driving Rain and Off the Ground.
I'm turned off by the trendy '70s-era production of the Wings records, even though the songs can be good (which is why I prefer the live album).
I think one obvious requirement would be that the song was a hit in the USA, since most of the advertising and stuff that would use the song would have come from the USA.
