 BANGLAPEDIA: Shalbadi Mosque
Shalbadi Mosque stands in Sindurna village in Raipur union of Sadar upazila of Thakurgaon district.
The inscription records 1295 BS (1888 AD) as the date of construction of the mosque, and mentions that it was built for the Shia community by the descendants of the Zamindar of Sitalpur in Purnia district, who came and settled in Sindurna.
The inscription bearing the date of construction of the mosque is now found fixed on the wall of a nearby modern mosque.

UNB adds: Flood situation in Sadar, Ramganj, Raipur and Ramgati upazilas deteriorated, as over 10 lakh people remained under water caused by the flash flood.
Meanwhile flood water started receding from Dhagonbhuiya, Fulgazi Parashuram and Sonagazi upazilas but flood water remained stacnant in Chhagalnaiya and Feni sadar upazila causing sufferings to the thousands of people.
The road communication in between Feni and Parashuram, Feni and Chhagalnaiya and Chagalnaiya and Muhriganj was disrupted as these roads went under water.

 Evaluation – In the wake of a flagship
NRDP took initiative to improve and maintain some selected roads in the three upazilas Chhagalnaiya, Lakshmipur and Raipur.
In Chhagalnaiya upazila priority was given to male landless labourers.
Around 1980 most of the roads in the project area were in very poor condition.
