Raising this skill (which is light blue for the two most common agent breeds of Solitus and Opifex) has a net gain in the skill set by applying one-point increases across a wide range of skills, including, more importantly, the nano disciplines.
For the agent the overriding reason is to be able to carry the highest quality level rifle possible.
This rules out combat nano but the agent’s primary interest here is the further buffing available be it skill-wise, for example the soldier’s ‘Rifle Mastery’, defensive enhancements like ‘Mirror Shield’ (soldier again) or concealment and speed buffs such as the adventurer’s reet and leet forms.

Ergativity in Suleimaniye Kurdish   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-02)
That is, in the case of subject and agent, a clitic is required to appear on the verb (and then move off, in the case of past transitive verbs) regardless of whether or not an explicit subject or agent noun phrase is present in the sentence.
Subject raising is possible with /wâ dyâr bûn/ in the present tense, but not in the past tenses, as shown in examples 6c, d, and e.
The examination of the rules for raising in Suleimaniye Kurdish are therefore inconclusive as a means for determining the degree of ergativity present in the grammar of Suleimaniye Kurdish.

Leavening agent - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A leavening agent (sometimes called just leavening or leaven) is a substance used in doughs and batters that causes them to rise.
In the presence of moisture, heat, acidity, or other triggers the leavening agent reacts to produce gas (often carbon dioxide) that becomes trapped as bubbles within the dough.
Steam and air can also be considered to be leavening agents, since any existing tiny pockets of air or steam in a dough or batter will expand when heated.

 Recipes: Chocolate Cake
Make a well and add the oil and vanilla essence.
In this recipe, the raising agent is the reaction between the sodium bicarbonate and the vinegar (the acetic acid in the vinegar displacing the weaker carbonic acid in the sodium bicarbonate to produce bubbles of carbon dioxide) - the raising effect being lost if it is used too early or given a chance to escape.
Add the vinegar so that it goes into the oil and therefore does not immediately come into contact with the dry mixture.
