Ralph married at Huntington, 6 Oct 1856, to Martha Watkins Barker who was b.
Horr, initiated the development of the cheese industry, building in Huntington township the first cheese factory in Lorain county.
He was admitted to the bar in OH 1884 and was a practicing attorney at Cleveland with the law firm of Boynton and Horr He married (1) Margaret Louise Bernard at Cleveland 6 Sep 1884; (2) Martha Umbstaetter at Cleveland 27 Nov 1889.

Bishop Ralph A. Ward first went to China as a missionary of the M. Church in 1909, and after studying the Foochow dialect for a year, was appointed Foochow district missionary and gave special service in the founding of the Methodist Institutional Church in the City of Foochow.
While Ralph was not exactly a native of this town, being born in Leroy, a few miles beyond Huntington, he always regarded Huntington as "the old home town." Both of his parents were born here and his grandparents were among this town's early settlers.

I am inquiring about some Horr/Harr ancestors.My ancestors that I have heard of were Mary Blumefeld Horr, Lyman Spalding Horr,Ralph Chancy Horr, They originally came from Yorkshire, England and ended up in Bristol, Mass.
We do know they changed their name to Horr in 1867 to Harr.

He served seven terms as a Republican starting with the Sixty-fifth Congress [1917-1931 but lost the election in 1930 to another member of the Craft, Ralph Horr.
In 1919 he was a member of the congressional delegation that joined with the Secretary of War to visit the American troops in France and Germany.
On May 21, 1936 he was confirmed as a member of the United States Board of Tax Appeals [now called the Tax Court of the United States] and he continued to serve on that bench until he retired as a judge on November 30, 1953.
