The DCGI, last week, gave the company nod to start phase-I trials in India on the NCE code named RBx 9841, a likely cure for the condition of overactive bladder, and on another molecule called RBx 9001, which is being developed as a drug for treatment of benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH).
When contacted, a Ranbaxy official confirmed receiving the regulatory go-ahead for conduct of phase-I trials in India on RBx 9841 and RBx 9001.
